Birthday Cowls Part 2: Fall Round Up

Studies show that babies born in the fall are more likely to become knitters. Well, at least that’s the case for the Purl Jammers in the birthday cowl swap because the majority of our swappers were born in the fall months. All these birthdays made the fall extra fun since there were cowl birthdays almost every Tuesday and we even had a double and a triple cowl birthday week!

Here’s a graph showing you just how many of the cowl birthdays are in the fall:

PJ Birthdays

See, there’s three summer birthdays in June and July (blogged here). Then a ton (actually  nine to be precise) during September through December with five in October alone. And we still have two more to come in February and March because we started in May of last year.

Unfortunately, during the fall, Purl Jam knit night is always after o’dark o’clock so almost all of the birthday cowl photos are indoors with sub-optimal lighting. Sorry about that! Just imagine them less yellowy, well focused and without the red demon eyes. Now without further ado, it is my pleasure to present to you the fall birthday cowls:

First up, Corinne made Marissa an elegant Dungarees Cowl designed by Kristen Jancuk (project details on ravelry here):

Next, we had a double cowl birthday!! Catherine made Elizabeth a styley Wonder Woman Cowl that she designed herself specifically for Elizabeth:

and that same week, Jennifer made this cool cowl for Kelly:

The next week, Marissa made a posh Burberry Inspired Cowl Neck Scarf designed by Julianne Smith for Erica (project details on ravelry here):
