On Friday afternoon, some of us Purl Jammers played hooky and road-tripped to the magical land of A Verb for Keeping Warm to attend an exceptional event. I agree with Erica, their new space is gorgeous and chock full of yarny temptations. And guess who we saw there?

Kristine introduces Special Guest #1.

Can you tell who it is? We heard special guest #1 talk and then lined up for a book signing by special guest #1 and special guest #2 (as if one special guest wasn’t exciting enough!).

Getting our books signed by Special Guest #2.

It was really great to have the opportunity to meet these knit designers in person at such an intimate and friendly event. I went total fangirl but who wouldn’t? Well, actually no one but me but I didn’t mind. And apparently neither did the special guests because they didn’t run away but instead hung out and chatted with us.

The evening was also the artist reception for Sonya Phillip, a local fiber artist currently displaying works in the gallery. You may know Sonya from Imagiknit where she teaches classes.

Have you figured out who the special guests were yet? Here’s the final clue:

Please post your guess in the comments!

– Reported by Tracey, who can’t wait to knit up the patterns from her new book.
