On Saturday Jessica May, Elizabeth, Jessica, and I trekked across the Bay Bridge for A Verb For Keeping Warm’s grand opening party. Luscious fiber, friendly faces, and a beautiful space greeted us at the new store in Oakland. Plus a special cake in the Thai Iced Tea colorway!
The new store stocks all sorts of goodies, including AVFKW hand dyed fiber and yarn, plus Malabrigo, Sanguine Gryphon’s Bugga, and Pigeonroof Studios. There could be more for sale, but I was too distracted by Bugga to notice!
And did I mention the proprietress Kristine gave away amazing door prizes on the hour? And that Jessica May and Jessica won a gift certificate and a quilt kit, respectively!?!?
I, of course, have no luck when it comes to raffles. But I did manage to snag some fun fabric to give as holiday gifts and to make an A-line skirt for myself. AVFKW’s new store includes a great selection of fabrics that will inspire you to expand your other stashes too.
